Controller / Accountant (m/f/d)

Permanent employee, Full-time · CPTx

Your mission
  • Run day‑to‑day accounting for our German HQ and newly‑launched US subsidiary, ensuring clean ledgers and stellar month‑end closes.
  • Consolidate multi‑entity financials (HGB + IFRS/US‑GAAP) and prepare management reports that land with non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Build scalable processes—from expense policy to ERP workflows—that keep pace with 2× YoY headcount.
  • Own external relationships with tax advisers, auditors, banks, and payroll providers on both sides of the Atlantic.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance on budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, and board decks—becoming the in‑house modelling co‑pilot for new product lines and fundraising.
  • Level‑up our data stack by championing automation and dashboarding (Excel, Sheets, or the tools you love) so insights are always a click away.
Your profile
  • 1‑5 years in audit, controlling, or accounting (start‑up scale‑ups or Big‑4 welcome).
  • Working knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) plus either IFRS or US‑GAAP; experience consolidating multiple entities & currencies.
  • Confident with month‑end close, P&L, BS, and cash‑flow statements.
  • Fluency in German (C1/C2) and English (written and spoken) is a must. Comfortable collaborating across time zones.
  • Flexible, generalist mentality - you are adaptable and willing to handle a broad range of tasks, even outside of core accounting, to support the team’s needs.
  • Detail‑obsessed but pragmatic—able to set 80/20 processes that unblock the team and ship.
  • Valid work visa.
